Sometimes called Earth's 'evil twin', Venus has an atmospheric pressure 92 times greater than Earth, sulfuric acid rain,
an average surface temperature of almost 900 degrees Fahrenheit and over 1,000 volcanoes (an unknown number of which are active).
Not exactly the ideal vacation spot.
Venus is also quite similar to Earth in size and mass.
Venus is thought to have had a similar climate to Earth billions of years ago, perhaps even having water.

Because of its incredibly thick atmosphere, pictures of Venus have largely been restricted to non-visible spectra such as radar, infrared and UV, all taken from orbit.
However, a lucky few landers have managed to snap a few surface shots of Venus before being destroyed by the planet's hellish conditions.
